Our group took part in the "Pony Trail"
caravan sponsored by CJ Pony Parts.
June 2,3,4, 2000

We ran into many Mustangers making the trip to Carlisle!
Ahh yes, it wouldn't be a Ford gathering without the Starsky & Hutch Torinos!
The 80 car caravan takes a break on the way to Carlisle...
cool shirt
huh?
We browsed the seemingly endless parts market.
Average temperature.....around 150 degrees.
Need a part? ...its here.
The show field begins to fill up...
Some vehicles were featured indoors....a welcome break from the sun! Notice our pal Dave is just about done...
Everything is at Carlisle, the painstakingly
restored to the ultra modified!
Shows like this are great because you get to "reunite" with the cars of your youth.....I miss my 1973 Torino from highschool...
Probably not a daily driver...
Yup, I was a big fan of the show, these cars were cool to see.
I thought this small but detailed mural on the
front of an 87-93 era 'stang was sharp...
"Aint No 5.0" ?
thats ok, a mid 80's SVO is a sharp ride
The infamous Cobra R was on display.
VFMC member Jack O'Donnell actually tried to hot-wire it...later Ford Racing Design Manager John Coletti drove around the show field in this fantasy machine...not bad for $60,000!

A great weekend. I recommend "The Pony Trail" if CJ Pony Parts runs it again next year. The weather held out and was a "little hot" Friday. Some brief showers on Friday night ( just enough
to water-spot your Mustang ), but Saturday and Sunday were great. In my opinion the day to go
is Saturday. Sunday & Friday featured half as many show cars. Get a hotel, you'll thank your sunburned-self at the end of the day. I know we didn't see everyone from the Valley Forge Mustang Club, however we did run into Gary & Linda Woolard, Dave Loughlin, Fred Glazier, John & Brad Bartley and Frannie Slabonick & Lori Richardson. Sorry folks, but I had shot all my film by then, next year I'll get your cars...
